Flaming Lips’ Sgt. Pepper’s Tribute Tracklist Revealed

After announcing the release date of their full-length tribute album to the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Flaming Lips has now released the track list for With A Little Help From My Fwends. The album will include covers of every single song on the Beatles’ original album, and will feature Miley Cyrus, Moby, Electric Würms, MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden, and more. Stream FKA Twigs’ LP1

British experimental R&B artist FKA Twigs will be releasing her debut album, LP1, in the US on August 12th via Young Turks. The album is a follow-up to last year’s EP1 and EP2, and is produced by FKA twigs, Arca, Cy An, Emile Haynie, Dev Hynes, Inc., Paul Epworth, Sampha, and Tic. Inspired by the genius of the film “Black Dynamite” and the subsequent show “Black Dynamite – The Animated Series” Jamla Records and W.A.R. Media made an unofficial mixtape featuring Pharoahe Monch, Jean Grae, Rapsody, Big Remo, GQ, Torae, HaLo, Thee Tom Hardy, Sean Boog, Sundown of Actual Proof, Mela Machinko and SkyZoo. Ab-Soul / These Days (stream)

L.A.’s TDE and Black Hippy rapper Ab-Soul has released These Days…, his follow-up to the 2012 album Control System. Soulo has been building anticipation for the album by sharing tracks for months, most of which are featured on the album: “Dub Sac,” “Tree Of Life,” “These Days,” “Closure,” “Stigmata,” and “Hunnid Stacks.” Because the album was leaked in entirety, it appears that Soul Brother Number 1 + 1 wanted to counter the leak with a SoundCloud stream of the album. The album features SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Lupe Fiasco, Nikki Jean, Rick Ross, Jinx, Short Dawg, Jhené Aiko, Kendrick Lamar, Action Bronson, Asaad, Jay Rock, RaVaughn, Danny Brown, Delusional Thomas, Lupe Fiasco and JMSN. Hold Tight // Sinkane + Tour Dates, Track Lists and more

Sudanese-born/BK-based multi-instrumentalist Ahmed Gallab bka Sinkane will be releasing his 2nd solo LP, Mean Love , September 2nd, 2014 via DFA Records in North America and City Slang worldwide. This album was co-produced by Sinkane and longtime collaborator and childhood friend Greg Lofaro. In preparation for that he has released his first single of the album, “Hold Tight”.
